Some Extremely-Low WER/BER Performance Simulation Results for Linear Block Codes via DAIS
نویسندگان
چکیده
The dual adaptive importance sampling (DAIS) technique allows for the evaluation of the word and bit error rates of linear block forward error correction codes down to extremely low values. This paper presents results from performance evaluation of certain LDPC codes using the DAIS technique. The standard Monte Carlo simulation results and the union bound are provided, where available, for comparison with the DAIS results.

Evaluate the Word Error Rate of Binary Block Codes with Square Radius Probability Density Function
The word error rate (WER) of soft-decision-decoded binary block codes rarely has closed-form. Bounding techniques are widely used to evaluate the performance of maximum-likelihood decoding algorithm. But the existing bounds are not tight enough especially for low signal-to-noise ratios and become looser when a suboptimum decoding algorithm is used. This paper proposes a new concept named square...
متن کاملSOVA Based on a Sectionalized Trellis of Linear Block Codes
The use of block codes is a well known error-control technique for reliable transmission of digital information over noisy communication channels. However, a practically implementable softinput soft-output (SISO) decoding algorithm for block codes is still a challenging problem. This thesis examines a new decoding scheme based on the soft-output Viterbi algorithm (SOVA) applied to a sectionaliz...
متن کاملCooperative Orthogonal Space-Time-Frequency Block Codes over a MIMO-OFDM Frequency Selective Channel
In this paper, a cooperative algorithm to improve the orthogonal space-timefrequency block codes (OSTFBC) in frequency selective channels for 2*1, 2*2, 4*1, 4*2 MIMO-OFDM systems, is presented. The algorithm of three node, a source node, a relay node and a destination node is formed, and is implemented in two stages. During the first stage, the destination and the relay antennas receive the sym...
متن کاملTestbed Measurements of Optimized Linear Dispersion Codes
High-rate optimized linear dispersion (LD) codes have been investigated extensively in theory and by simulation throughout the last years. Regardless of the findings of the research so far, little work has been performed to investigate the performance of such codes in a realistic transmission system. We implemented an optimized full-rate full-diversity space-time block code, derived by Damen, o...
متن کاملLDPC Coding for Performance Enhancement of MC-CDMA System
A turbo block code (TBC) technique for improving the performance of a multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) system in terms of bit error rate (BER) is proposed in this paper. The objective of this work is to develop a coding scheme that generates low BER code-words. By implementing a time domain TBC, designed using powerful low density parity check (LDPC) code, the BER performan...
